It’s a hard thing to do… to learn to trust God. It takes time, patience, and a willingness to not be in control.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit. – Jeremiah 17:7-8
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. – Psalm 56:3
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6
It’s taken me years to learn that God is for me, that his plans, and goals for me are for what is best for me (see Jeremiah 29:11). But I have learned that He is a good, glorious, and trustworthy God.
