One thing I’ve discovered in life. We are either growing, falling, or are spiritually stagnant. And day to day we fluctuate, kind of like a mountain range.
In each of my books I want one character to be seen on that mountain range. Are they on a long flat spot between hills? Is this character, overall, moving upward towards bigger mountains or headed into a deep-deep valley?
Right now I’m writing “October Falling” and honestly I don’t like Terry, but I know where she ends up. Like you or me she’s been hanging out in the valley for longer than she aught. How does Terry get out of that valley? How does she meet Maxwel? I’m not sure, but I am enjoying the writing.
…fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. – Hebrews 12:2
