The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in princes. – Psalm 118:7-9(NASB)
How many times have we trusted in a person to help us in our most desperate time of need? I must admit, I’ve been the one to fail family, friends, and loved ones. Putting our faith in others, while not necessarily bad, could be misplaced.
If we trust completely in God to help us, He will provide the help we need.
George Müller trusted completely in God. When you read his autobiography, he never told anyone about his monetary needs for the orphanage he started. He always turned to God for his and the children’s needs. And at just the exact moment, when the need had to be fulfilled, God sent a means.
It’s tough living that kind of life; but you get a front row seat to how marvelous God is.
